An Ayurvedic Morning Drink Recipe

 

You may have heard of an “Ayurveda Morning Drink” .. since what we drink is often one of the first things we consume for the day, what you start your day with either kick-start your digestion and be BENEFICIAL for your HEALTH, or not.

What we put into our body first thing in the morning is important. It sets the tone for the day. Not to mention if we create a solid habit with our morning beverage - I’m sure you would like it to be something that’s health-sustaining, for the long term!

There’s nothing wrong with coffee, however it’s good to be mindful our choices and the effect of certain substances on your Prakriti (and Vikriti) - your natural constitution, or current state of imbalance. AND then the seasonal influence⁠ .. and being OPEN to CHANGE 😇

The following is one of my FAVOURITES - best consumed on an EMPTY stomach first thing in the morning to kick-start your Agni 🔥 (digestive fire), suitable for all seasons but ESPECIALLY during HEMANTA (Winter) due to honeys OJAS building affinity.⁠

AYURVEDIC MORNING DRINK ⁠

> Steep 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger in boiling water for 5-10 minutes ⁠

> Once COOLED, but still warm, add 1/2 tsp of fresh lemon juice and 1/2 tsp raw honey

DELICIOUS, simple AND good for your belly! 😋😍
